MAF sensor off car

Air flow/mass sensors (MAF)

What voltage did you get when you first powered up the sensor without passing air over the sensor?
1.02v
How did the voltage change when air was passed over the sensor?
The more air pass through the MAF sensor, the more voltages increases.Tt depends on the passing air.

Are your results within the manufacturer’s specifications, why or why not?
The results was within the manufacture's specification due to the sensor without passing air over is 1.02v and i blow the air passing the sensor then i got 3.55v.

Explain the internal operation of this sensor
This sensor is based on the  constant temperature principle. There is a platinum hot wire in the MAF sensor hot wire maintain at the constant temperature. when the more air passes, it causes hot wire to cool down and allow more current flow to the electronic control circuit. When the wire is hot, more resistance which means decreased current, that flows through the platinum hot wire giving an increased signal to the ECU.
